How much Forests Are Left In The World?
Natural forest systems are a critical part of the world’s biodiversity as more forests are biodiversity than other species. Forests cover 31 percent of the world’s land area about half of the forest area is compact, and more than one-third of the total forest (i.e. forests are naturally regenerated by traditional species, where there are no visible indications of human activities and natural processes that are less disturbed). The total forest area is 4.06 billion hectares or approximately 5 000m2 (or 50 x 100m) per person, but forests are not evenly distributed across the globe
