The Atlantic Forest (Portuguese: Mata Atlântica)

 



The Atlantic Forest  (Portuguese: Mata Atlântica) domain stretches from the northeastern to the southern regions of Brazil and northern Argentina and the southeastern Republic of Paraguay. within the northeastern part of Brazil, it occupies a skinny coastal strip not surpassing forty miles wide, whereas within the south it extends from the coast to as way as two hundred miles upcountry.
